The warm, sunny weather enveloping southwestern Connecticut continues for another day, according to the National Weather Service, before an autumnal cooling trend sets in.

Under today's bright skies, the daytime high temperature is expected to rise to about 80 degrees. There will be a west wind between 6 and 11 mph.

Tonight, the NWS says, will be partly cloudy, with a low around 64 degrees.

Tomorrow will be mostly sunny, but there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. The high temperature is expected to be about 80 degrees with a southwest wind between 3 and 7 mph. There is still a slight chance of precipitation tomorrow night as the temperature dips to a low of around 65.

Thursday looks as though it will be mostly cloudy, the NWS says, with a chance of showers, mainly after noon. The high temperature will be about 73 degrees. Cooler conditions take hold later in the day as the overnight low should fall to the low-50s, the NWS predicts.

Friday should be sunny, the NWS says, but the daytime high temperature should be only in the mid-60s.
