Another sunny and uncharacteristically warm day is in store today for southwestern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.

The daytime high temperature is expected to rise to the mid-60s, with a southwest wind between 7 and 10 mph.

However, there is a slight chance of showers overnight, with patchy fog moving in after midnight. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 50 degrees.

Tomorrow, showers are likely, mainly after 5 p.m. Patchy fog may envelope parts of the region before 9 a.m., and skies for the rest of the day will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 61 degrees. Tomorrow night, there will be periods of rain -- possibly even a thunderstorm. The low temperature overnight is expected to fall to around 48, the NWS says.

On Wednesday, there is a chance of showers, mainly before 9 a.m. Clouds will prevail as the temperature rises to a high near 54 degrees.

The outlook for Thursday, the weather service predicts, is sunny with a high temperature in the mid-50s.
