Today is expected to be mostly sunny and warmer than yesterday in southwestern Connecticut, but there is a slight chance of showers in the afternoon.

The National Weather Service says the likelihood of more rain is about 20 percent, while the daytime high temperature is expected to rise to about 60 degrees. It should be breezy, with a northwest wind between 13 and 20 mph.

Tonight will be partly cloudy as the temperature falls to a low around 46 degrees, the NWS says.

Tomorrow should be mostly sunny, with a high near 63 degrees, and a wind from the west will be between 9 and 14 mph. Tomorrow night, however, there is a chance of showers after 9 p.m. The temperature will fall to about 53 degrees.

Saturday follows a similar pattern: partly sunny, temperature about 60 degrees, and a slight chance of showers.

And, according to the weather service, Sunday's outlook is basically the same.
