Fairfield forecast: Unsettled conditions on tap again

The warning of occasional showers and thunderstorms for southwestern Connecticut continues today, reflecting the conditions forecast by the National Weather Service for the last several days.
Skies today are expected to be mostly cloudy, with the greatest odds of precipitation from midday through evening. The daytime high temperature will be in the upper-70s with a south wind between 5 and 8 mph.
Tonight, there remains a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 11 p.m. The temperature will dip to a low of about 60 degrees.
Tomorrow will be sunny, with a high near temperature of about 80 degrees and a north wind between 8 and 13 mph. Nighttime will be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the low-50s, the NWS says.
On Friday, skies should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-70s. However, showers are likely Friday night as clouds move in and the temperature registers a low around 60 degrees.
The outlook for Saturday, the weather service predicts, is mostly cloudy, with temperatures near 70 degrees.
