Today will be another warm and sunny day before a shift to more seasonally cool temperatures in the remainder of the week, according to the National Weather Service.
Skies across southwestern Connecticut will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the low-80s. There will be a southwest wind between 7 and 9 mph.
Tonight is expected to be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-60s.
Tomorrow, the NWS says there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m., with increasing odds of precipitation later in the afternoon and evening. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 72 degrees.
Besides a chance of showers before 8 p.m., the skies tomorrow night will gradually clear and the temperature is likely to tumble to a low in the upper-40s. There will be a north wind between 15 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.
Friday will be sunny, but with the cooling trend settling in, the daytime high is likely to be in the low-60s. Nighttime skies will be partly cloudy, with a low again falling to the upper-40s.
The outlook for Saturday and Sunday is similar, the weather service predicts, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s.
