Fairfield forecast: Weekend peaks Saturday

Today is the half of the weekend to enjoy outdoors, according to the National Weather Service.
Like yesterday, skies across southwestern Connecticut today will be sunny and warm, the NWS says, with a daytime high temperature of about 82 degrees.
The outlook for tomorrow, however, is wet.
The threat of precipitation arises overnight, with a chance of rain about 2 a.m. tomorrow. The nighttime temperature is expected to fall to a low of about 69 degrees.
Tomorrow, rain is likely, particularly after noon, the NWS says. Skies will be cloudy, with a high near 75 degrees and a south wind around 8 mph. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent, according to the weather service.
Rain is also probably tomorrow night as the temperature dips to a low of about 70 degrees.
The work week starts Monday on a rainy note, NWS says, with a daytime high of 77 degrees. There remains a chance of showers on Monday night, with a low temperature around 68 degrees.
On Tuesday, there is a chance of isolated showers under skies expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 75 degrees.
