Hannah Ulman, of Fairfield, is a member of a five-student team from a Bridgeport magnet school that won the Connecticut Destination Imagination championship March 26.

The third-grader at the Six-to-Six Interdistrict Magnet School and her teammates will advance to the tournament's global finals next month at the University of Tennessee.

Destination Imagination is a non-profit organization focused on teaching creativity, teamwork and problem solving. Schools in the U.S. and 30 other countries participate in the problem-solving competition.

During the Connecticut tournament at Connecticut College in New London, the Six-to-Six team had five minutes to plan and then perform a skit about a particular culture and one of its mythological creatures, incorporating props and a problem chosen by the judges.
