Fairfield hookah lounge owner pinched for noise
FAIRFIELD — The owner of the Sky Hookah Lounge was issued a summons for disorderly conduct Sunday morning.
Anwar Malas, 28, of Quincy Street, was charged after police received a call around 1 a.m. April 2 from a Longfellow Avenue resident about loud noise. When the officer arrived, the officer could faintly hear the thumping of a bass line, which got louder every time the door was opened by people entering or leaving.
Malas was released on a promise to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport on April 11.
