Fairfield man arrested for hitting parked car and leaving the scene
FAIRFIELD — A Campfield Drive man turned himself in a police headquarters Thursday on a warrant related to a car accident in April.
Michael Hannah, 30, was charged with evading responsibility and failure to drive in the proper lane. He was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport on June 21.
Police received a 911 call about a car that had just hit a parked car on Knapps Highway, and pushed it onto a front lawn. They said the driver parked the car further down the street and was seen walking away.
The car was towed from the scene, and according to the report, Hannah showed up the next day to claim the car from the impound lot.
