A messy divorce resulted in the arrest of a Fairfield man for violating a protective order and stalking Friday night.
Erik Sporre, formerly of Sedan Terrace, was arrested on a warrant at the Holiday Inn in Bridgeport after his wife, who is divorcing him and has had a protective order against him, said he had returned to the house in the past few days, according to police.
Sporre, 34, allegedly had been driving by the house, called his daughter's school and came onto the doorstep of the home in the days following his removal Oct. 1. He was charged with violating a protective order and first-degree stalking. His bond was set at $1,000 bond and he was scheduled to appear Tuesday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
