Fairfield's animal control officials will be updating the local Horse Registry Log Book, to be used in the event of emergencies involving horses owned and kept at locations within the town.
This registry has not been updated recently, and horse owners and keepers are urged to send an informal document with their name, address, location about where a horse is stabled, a telephone and/or cell phone number for the person responsible for the animal, the horse's color/markings description and a photograph of the animal.
Additional information, such as the best way to approach the horse safely, can also be included.
Horse owners and keepers should call the Fairfield Animal Control Department at 203-254-4857 with questions about the registry.
Log entries can be sent to Fairfield Animal Shelter, 211 One Rod Highway, Fairfield, CT 06824, or can be directly e-mailed to Assistant Animal Control Officer Gina Gambino at email@example.com All information will be kept confidential. There is no fee for registry.
