Fairfield's 'Library Palooza' ready to rock
"Quiet, please" are two words not likely to be heard at the Fairfield Public Library on Saturday evening, Feb. 4, when the volume is cranked up for local bands and DJs at a teen concert.
"Library Palooza: Teen Music Festival" is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m., after regular hours at the main library 1080 Old Post Road. The fest is free and open to all teens.
The library said it still was negotiating but expected five or six bands to participate. This is the first event of its kind at the library, but about 150 teens attended an album-release party for a local high-school-age band several years ago, the library said.
Bands interested in participating may contact Teen Librarian Nicole Scherer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
