Fairfield's public schools for the first time will not make bus schedules public this year because of security concerns, the schools' transportation director said.

Parents of public school students may access their children's bus route information on Infinite Campus, the Internet-based student-management system used by Fairfield schools, according to John Ficke, the school department's transportation director.

Private schools will issue bus information by email, he said.

Public-school parents need a log-in for each student to access that child's information on Infinite Campus. Parents already should have received a letter from the school department with instructions for creating log-ins, according to the department's website, www.fairfieldschools.org or go directly to http://bit.ly/1toryw7.

Fairfield parents can get more information about using Infinite Campus by emailing: reghelp@fairfieldschools.org.

Parents of students already registered with the school department's central office who cannot access bus information may call the transportation office at 203-255-8385, Ficke said.
