Police are investigating two separate shoplifting incidents reported last weekend.

On Friday evening, staff at Rite Aid, 1619 Post Road, reported that a customer put a seven-inch portable DVD player, valued at $130, into his jacket pocket and left the store without paying. Police have a suspect and have applied for a warrant.

The second incident occurred Saturday at Bed Bath & Beyond on Kings Highway in the afternoon, when a man walked out of the store with two Kitchen Aide professional stand mixers, each worth $400. An employee followed the suspect out of the store and asked if he had paid for the items and he replied that he had, got into his car and drove away.

The incident is under investigation.
