A pair of veteran educators will talk about preparing a child for Kindergarten during a program Tuesday evening, Feb. 28, at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

The free program is planned at 7 p.m., featuring two educators from Fairfield Country Day School.

Debbie Sullinger and Elly McKenna will discuss skills children should have entering kindergarten and how parents can help prepare them.

Sullinger has been at Fairfield Country Day for 28 years. She has a master's in developmental reading and does all of the reading assessments in the lower school and works with teachers on all aspects of pre-K through third grade curriculum.

McKenna has been a learning specialist at Fairfield Country Day since 1992. She manages the Educational Record Bureau testing, analyzing each child's results and helping them use their strengths.

This talk is part of the Library's Pathways to Parenting series offered September through March.
