Fairfield volunteers receive presidential award
The Osborn Hill School Parent-Teacher Association recently gave President Volunteer Service Awards to several parents of students graduating from Osborne Hill Elementary School for their service to the school and community.
The award was established in 2003 by the federal President's Council on Service and Civic Participation to recognize volunteerism and honor Americans who inspire others to engage in volunteer service.
Award criteria is based on the number of hours of service over a 12-month period or cumulative hours earned over the course of a lifetime.
