Snowfall -- perhaps significant amounts -- is still in this weekend's forecast for southwestern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.

Today, however, should be relatively nice, with sunny skies and slightly warmer temperatures cresting at about 36 degrees, the NWS says. Tonight, the temperature should fall to a low of about 24.

Tomorrow starts with similar meteorological conditions -- sun and temperatures in the mid-30s. But overnight, there is a slight chance of snow as temperatures fall into the mid-20s.

By Sunday, the odds of snow increase to about 50 percent, the NWS predicts. Skies will be cloudy, the high will be in the mid-30s and there will be a north wind between 7 and 16 mph.

Sunday night is expected to be cold and blustery as the chance of snowfall remains at 50 percent. Temperatures will be about 30 degrees.

A chance of snow showers is also in the forecast for Monday. It should be partly sunny and windy, with a high near 37.
