FAIRFIELD — Karen Dolzani, 37, of Barlow Place, was charged with driving under the influence after police said she made a right hand turn and hit a stone wall.

According to the report, Dolzani was making a right hand turn from Barlow Place onto Barlow Road around 3 p.m. April 1. She never straightened out of the turn, however, and hit a stone wall and a “No Parking” sign. Police said Dolzani said she hadn’t been drinking but she allegedly took some sleeping medications.

Dolzani failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. She was released after posting a $100 bond and is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport on April 11.
