A male posing as a home-health aide at the Sullivan-McKinley Elderly Housing, 224 Meadowbrook Road, stole $160 from an 80-year-old resident shortly before noon Friday, police said.
The thief told the man he needed to check on him and compile his medical history. After the "aide" was let in, he said he would make the elderly man's bed. While he did this, according to police, he also looked in the man's dresser drawers and also checked out the bathroom and kitchen.
After he left, the 80-year-old realized that $160 was missing from a kitchen drawer.
The man posing as the health aide was described by police as a black male, about 6 feel 4 inches tall, weighing about 260 pounds, and wearing dark pants and a button-down shirt.
