Flowers swiped from grave in St. Thomas Cemetery
Flowers were stolen from a grave in St. Thomas Cemetery on Tuesday night.
The daughter of a woman buried in the Mill Plain Road cemetery told police that she saw a woman near another grave on the previous day, who left the scene carrying several baskets. The daughter returned a day later and found that flowers on her mother's grave had been dug up and two arrangement baskets were missing.
The woman who may be responsible is described as a white female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with short black hair, police said. She was wearing dark clothing and drove away in a small, four-door vehicle, possibly a Ford Focus.
The baskets missing from the other grave were for a person buried March 31, according to police.
