Steven G. Garcia, 20, of Cleveland Avenue in Bridgeport, turned himself at police headquarters Saturday on a warrant stemming from an October theft case at a local restaurant.

According to police, Garcia was working as a busboy at Geronimo’s restaurant on the Post Road when he allegedly took a wallet accidentally left behind by a customer.

He then made several charges at the Stop & Shop and Game Exchange in Stratford, police said. A picture from surveillance video at the Game Exchange was shown to the manager at Geronimo’s, who identified the suspect as Garcia. Garcia later admitted to police that he took the wallet and used one of the credit cards, according to the report.

He was charged with sixth-degree larceny, credit card theft, illegal use of a credit card, third-degree identity theft and second-degree forgery.

Bond was set at $20,000 bond and he is scheduled to appear Dec. 3 at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
