A series of three public forums on the Fairfield Coastal Flood-Mitigation Plan will be held starting this week by the Flood and Erosion Control Board.

A copy of the plan, which was presented to the Board of Selectmen in January, can be found at www.fairfieldct.org/fecb, under "Files and Documents." An archived video of the Jan. 8 presentation to the selectmen can be found on FairTV's website, www.fairtvonline.org.

Each meeting will cover general details about local coastal flooding issues, and then focus on a different section of the town's shoreline neighborhoods.

The meetings all will take place in Sherman School, 250 Fern St., and each will start at 7 p.m. on the following dates:

- March 3: focusing on Riverside Drive to Penfield Beach.

- March 10: Lalley Boulevard to the town's waste-water treatment plant off One Rod Highway.

- March 24: Pine Creek dike and marsh area.

The sessions are designed to gather public comments and feedback on the proposal.
