Francis M. Bosze, 69, of Fairfield, a retired lawyer and husband of the late Bonnie Bruce Bosze, died Aug. 14, 2010, in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport.

The son of the late Frank and Marie Yobbagy Bosze, he was a resident of Fairfield most of his life. He was a graduate of Fairfield College Preparatory School, Class of 1958; Fairfield University, Class of 1962, and West Virginia University School of Law, Class of 1965. He practiced law throughout Fairfield County, and was affiliated with the law firms of MacNamara, Patti and Bosze, and later with Slavitt, Connery and Vardamis, until his retirement.

A former member of the Fairfield Representative Town Meeting, he also was active in the Fairfield YMCA Indian Guides when his children were younger. A fly fisherman, he enjoyed constructing his own rods, tying flies and preparing a delicious dish with his day's catch. He enjoyed visits to the Steam Train museum and local marina in Essex, where he kept his wooden power cruiser.

After retiring, Bosze enjoyed travel to Costa Rico with late wife, Bonnie.

He is survived by his children, Christopher Bosze, and his wife, Christine, of Hamden; Lisa MacNeil, and her husband, Mark, of Simsbury; Bonnie's children, Michelle Rossi, and her husband, Sean, of Milford; Kristine Ference, and her husband, Brett, of Vermont; his grandchildren, Christopher, Jimmy and John MacNeil; Sam and Sydney Rossi; his former wife, Patricia Hageman, of Beacon Falls. He was also predeceased by Bonnie's daughter, Colleen Dominic.

Friends can greet his family on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road. A committal service will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.
