A series of "Know Your Numbers" clinics is planned by the town's Health Department during the observance of Heart Health Month in February.
At each of the free clinics, a public health nurse will conduct a blood test to determine an individual's blood glucose and total cholesterol levels, as well as take blood pressure and body weight. The tests should take about 5 minutes, according to a news release.
The sessions are scheduled for:
Thursday, Feb. 5: 10 a.m.-noon, Fairfield Senior Center, 100 Mona Terrace.
Thursday, Feb. 19: noon-2 p.m., Sullivan-Independence Hall, first-floor conference room, 725 Old Post Road.
Thursday, Feb. 26: 3:30-5:30 p.m., Fairfield Public Library's Memorial Room, corner of Old Post and Post roads
Advance registration is not required for the screenings, which is for adults 18 years old and over.
