Though spring was often chilly and damp, as summer officially dawned Saturday the early fruits -- and vegetables -- harvested at state and local farms were on offer at the Greenfield Hill Farmers Market, 75 Hillside Road.

The weekly market is set up weekly on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on a site between Hillside and Bronson roads through Oct. 25.

Shoppers can find fresh fare such as produce, eggs, organic hydroponic lettuce and herbs, floral arrangements, artisan baked breads and cakes, and olive oil products.
