Garden club's fall plantings ensure a bright spring

The frost is still on the pumpkin, but members of the Fairfield Garden Club are already thinking spring.

Members of the club recently turned out to for a mass planting of daffodil bulbs on the banks of the Mill River off Brookside Drive: 2,500 of them.

By spring, the club members' back-breaking efforts will be forgotten when the Riverside Park area is awash in the bright blossoms.
