Girls charged with shoplifting at Fairfield store

Two underage girls were arrested at Bob's Stores, 889 Post Road, at about 3:30 p.m. Nov. 12 for shoplifting. The youths allegedly attempted to walk out of the store with merchandise concealed in their purses.
Both girls, whose names were not released because of their age, were charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. One of the offenders was also charged with interfering.
The offender charged with just sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny was released on a written promise to appear Nov. 22 in Bridgeport Superior Court. The offender additionally charged with interfering was given a cash bond, and is also scheduled to appear Nov. 22 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
