A program on gluten intolerance is planned Monday, April 9, at 7 p.m. at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

Mindy Kannon, a nutrition coach and natural-food personal chef, will discuss intolerance to gluten -- a protein present in wheat and other grains, such as barley and rye -- and celiac disease, an often undiagnosed digestive illness.

Gluten-free food will be served, and recipes will be handed out.

The program is part of the library's Simple Solution Series, and registration is required because seating is limited, the library said.
