Updated 9:50 am, Friday, April 8, 2011
Get a chance to check out part of the original manuscript for the classic Civil War novel, "Gone With the Wind," and then stick around to watch it brought to life on the big screen Friday and Saturday at Pequot Library, 720 Pequot Ave.
The screenings of the movie starring Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh begin at 7 p.m. and run until 11 p.m, with a 15-minute break for intermission. If the movie is too long for some viewers, they can start watching Friday and come back on Saturday.
The library has the final four typed chapters of the book, donated to Pequot by George Brett, former MacMillan publisher who was also on the library's board of directors.
Admission is free and open to the public.
