The 51st annual Hooked Rug Exhibit and Hook In is planned April 30, at Fairfield Grace United Methodist Church.

The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the church, 1089 Fairfield Woods Road. It includes an all day hook-in, and vendors with a wide variety of wool and hooking items will be on-site.

Eric Sandberg, a certified McGown teacher, will give a hand-on presentation "Color Planning for Rug Hookers" at 1 p.m.

Admission is $5, and sponsors encourage attendees to bring hooked items to display to others. Those who bring five or more finished pieces for display and arrive before 9:30 a.m. will be admitted free. Rugs may be pre-registered on April 29 between 4 and 7 p.m.

Bag lunches will be available.

The exhibit is sponsored by the United Methodist Women of Fairfield Grace. More information is available by emailing Pat Jurgielewicz at or calling 203-854-5046 during daytime hours.
