Greenwich High School junior Olivia Hallisey, the Grand Prize winner of this year’s Google Science Fair, is set to make a triumphant homecoming when she appears at the Board of Education meeting 7 p.m. tonight at Julian Curtiss School.

Hallisey earned the top prize in the Google competition for developing a $25 ebola test that can be done in 30 minutes, without any need for refrigeration. She presented her research during a trip this week to Google's headquarters in Mountain View, Calif.

Also at tonight’s meeting, Hallisey’s honors science research teacher, Andrew Bramante, will get his own recognition, for being named one of Connecticut’s four finalists in the National Science Foundation’s Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching in grades K-12.
