Helen Archer, 64, of Trumbull, the wife of Peter H. Archer for more than 44 years, died March 11, 2010, in Bridgeport.
Born in Lima, Peru, she attended the Villa Maria School. Archerwas employed as a court interpreter with the Federal Justice System in Boston for many years. She spent much of her time volunteering at the Mercy Learning Center.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Pierce Archer and his wife, Nicole of Garden City, L.I.; her daughter, Helen Welch and her husband, Robert of Fairfield; her mother, Helen B. Vasquez Ayllon of Peru; her sister, Ana Maria Vasquez Ayllon of Lima, Peru; and five grandchildren, Gabriela and Robert Welch of Fairfield, and Jack, Pierce and Alexandra Archer of Garden City, L.I.
She was predeceased by her father, Carlos Vasquez Ayllon.
A memorial service took place March 16 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Fairfield; interment followed in St. Paul's Memorial Garden.
