Helen Kraker Lindner, 83, of Fairfield, wife of Walter Lindner, died May 6, 2010.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Lindner was a longtime Fairfield resident. She had worked for Fairfield University until her retirement.
A longtime parishoner of St. Emery's Church, she was a volunteer for many church functions and belonged to the ladies Guild and the St. Emery's Seniors group. She enjoyed cooking and especially caring for her gardens, flowers and plants.
In addition to her husband, Walter, survivors include her sons, John Lindner and his wife, Julie Ann of Spotsylvania, Va., and James Lindner and his wife, Patricia of Woodstock; a daughter, Catherine Lamson and her husband, George of Fairfield; a brother, George Kraker; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield, and at 11 a.m. in St. Emery's Church, 838 Kings Highway, Fairfield; burial will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
