HELEN M. KLEIN
Born in Melrose Park, Ill., on Nov. 27, 1915, daughter of the late Henry and Miriam Halenza, she was a resident of Fairfield and Bridgeport.
Klein was a former cashier at First National (Finast) for many years. She was fortunate to have traveled to many parts of the world for many years. She was an accomplished crotchetier and loved the challenge of completing complex crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed many good friends and many good times at 2400 North Ave. in Bridgeport, where she lived prior to her stay at Lord Chamberlain.
She was predeceased by her brother, Don; her son, Warren Klein; and a great grandson, James (Jimmy) Malaney. Survivors include her daughters, Joan Francik and her husband, Jerry of Stratford, and Norma Flynn and her husband, Gene of Higganum; a son, Donald Klein and his wife, Judy of Trumbull; a daughter-in-law, Margaret Klein of Stratford; her grandchildren, Karen Malaney and her husband, Jim, Sandra Boback and her husband, David, Audra Beauregard and her husband, Jeffrey, Stephen Choromanski, Heather Barnett and her husband Robert, Donald (DJ) Klein, and Christopher, Michael and Justin Klein; and many great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours took place March 20 in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A funeral service and burial in Mountain Grove Cemetery will be private.
