Neither snow, nor sleet, nor slushy roads could keep the PopShop Holiday Market from its appointed hours Sunday at the Brick Walk Promenade shopping complex.

Even though Saturday's snowstorm gilded the region with a pre-Christmas carpet several inches deep, the holiday "insta-market" popped to life for its day-long run at the downtown shopping venue.

Dozens of vendors participated, showing everything from home decor and hair products to jewelry, woodcrafts, bicycles and fashions to artwork and gifts of all kinds.

Food purveyors were also on hand to fortify the crowds of shoppers, with fare ranging from grilled cheese to meatballs to Asian noodles to Latin treats.

Other features included children's crafts, music, martial-arts demonstrations and Santa himself on hand to boost holiday spirits.
