In Pictures: Adolf Dehn exhibit opens at Fairfield University
FAIRFIELD — A great 20th century artist is getting a fresh look at Fairfield University this season.
The “Adolf Dehn: Midcentury Manhattan” show opened Thursday at the Bellermine Hall Art Galleries, with close to 200 people attending to view a collection of his original work from the 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s.
“He was one of the premiere figures in American art in the 30’s and 40’s,” said curator and professor Philip Eliasoph.
The exhibit is open through April 7.
