FAIRFIELD — For those who don’t usually make midnight, Friday’s “Happy Noon Year” celebration at the Fairfield Library was a perfect opportunity to ring in 2017.

Along with toasts of sparkling grape juice, kids got to make holiday hats, write out resolutions, and enjoy a balloon drop at twelve o’clock high.

“It seemed like an age-appropriate way to bring in the New Year,” said Helene Martha, head of the Children’s Department.
