Julia Anna Schade, 86, of Hackettstown, N.J., formerly of Fairfield, wife of the late Eugene F. Schade, died March 21, 2010.

Born in New York City, the daughter of the late Clarence and Anastasia Longenecker, she had been a Fairfield resident for 26 years. An artist, she loved to paint still life as well as write poetry.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Schade and his wife, Helen of North Bellmore, N.Y., Thomas Schade and his wife, Sandra of Fountain Hills, Ariz., and William Schade and his wife, Jill of Oxford, N.J.; a daughter-in-law, Denise Schade of Scottsdale, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was recently predeceased by her son, John Schade of Scottsdale, Ariz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 25, at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield; interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. Friends may call today, March 24, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
