Kenneth Nape, 66, of Fairfield, son of the late Barbara and Howard Nape, died July 5, 2010, in his home.

Born in Bridgeport, he was a U.S. Army veteran. Prior to his retirement four years ago, he was a Town of Fairfield employee with the Department of Public Works.

Nape was a member of the American Legion, George A. Smith Post No. 74 as well as a member of the Circle Lanes Bowling League.

He is survived by his fiance, Harriet Clyne of Milford; a cousin, Shirley Kalwaytis of Scott Township, Pa.; his good friend, Ray Hanic of Fairfield; and his cat, Rusty.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, July 9, leaving the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, Fairfield, at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will take place on Thursday, July 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to Mary Ann Louden for wildlife rehabilitation in care of the funeral home.
