John O'Brien, 66, of Lindsley Place, Stratford, was charged on a warrant with sixth-degree larceny Monday.

According to police, O'Brien was hired as a landscaper in August 2011 by a Warner Hill Road resident, and after the landscaping work was complete, the home owner found that a Nikon Coolpix camera was missing. Police later discovered that O'Brien had pawned the camera at Pawn King in Stratford, according to the report.

Also missing from the home was $55,000 worth of sterling silver flatware and jewelry, and police said a second arrest is pending.

O'Brien was released on a promise to appear in court March 20.
