'Large air freshener' leads to Fairfield arrest

Stopped for a having a "large air freshener" and a student ID hanging from her rearview mirror, Natasha Rivera, 32, of Judson Street, Bridgeport, found herself under arrest early Wednesday morning.
Rivera was stopped on Kings Highway East for having an obstructed front windshield, according to the report. Police discovered her license was under suspension and there was an active warrant out of West Haven for her arrest for failure to appear. A search of the car turned up cocaine and a cut straw with white powder residue, police said.
She was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia, and issued misdemeanor summonses for operating under suspension and having an obstructed windshield. She was held on bonds totaling $1,000 and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on the drug charges on May 23 and in Milford Superior Court on June 3 on the failure to appear charge.
