Off to the Fairfield University Bookstore on Sunday afternoon, May 20, to hear a concert and then take a walk.

Well, the seats began to fill up and folks of all ages gathered to hear the voices of our students from Ludlowe and Warde.

The "Girls with Pearls" director Sara Hoefer led this wonderful group of young ladies from Ludlowe in song. The fact that it was a beautiful day outside and the weekend of the Junior Prom did not halter this wonderful event.

The "Overtones" director Lauren Harmata had this group of young men from Warde entertain the folks in attendance. It was standing room only. And we wished the program was longer.

Wow, we have so much to be proud of, especially our music department That's what makes our school system special. So many young people with so many varied talents.

My special thanks to Nancy Quinn, community relations coordinator and Craig Kennedy, trade book manager for sharing their space at our Fairfield University Bookstore. It really has become a place where people meet and enjoy our town of Fairfield. Remember to keep an eye on our local papers as they list these special opportunities.
