Letter: Grateful Kupchick vows to keep listening

It's a tremendous honor to represent my hometown in the Connecticut General Assembly. Campaigns provide a wonderful opportunity to listen to members of our community right at their doorsteps.
Those of us who serve the public know that our families sacrifice a great deal for us to be able to do this work. I'm very grateful for my husband Peter for holding down the fort while I campaigned and to my parents and in-laws for always believing in me.
I count myself lucky to have some of the very best, most talented people working hard to achieve a successful outcome. These people love our state and believe in making a difference by fighting for good government. I am proud to be associated with them and thank them for their efforts and amazing friendship. A special thank you to Alexa Mullady, Ray Neuberger, William Domeika, Jamie Millington and Jackie Bertolone who stood with me every step of the way.
I'm proud of the campaigns we ran. As leaders in our community, we are expected to set an example of statesmanship by talking about real issues and running positive campaigns.
I care deeply about public service and believe it's important for our community to have their voices heard in their government. Connecticut is facing many challenges that require hard work and determination. I strive to listen, learn and lead on issues that are important to the people of Fairfield and Southport and will continue to work hard to earn the trust you've placed in me.
