A 27-year-old New Haven man accused of selling a stolen moped to a Fairfield man was arrested Friday on a warrant that charged him with third-degree larceny.
Pawel Skretowicz, of George Street, New Haven, was held in lieu of $5,000 bond pending an appearance on Jan. 2 in Bridgeport Superior Court, police said.
The moped had been stolen Dec. 3 in New Haven, according to police, and its vehicle identification number had been altered.
The Fairfield resident had purchased the moped for $300 via an advertisement on Craig's List, police said.
