Man charged after causing disturbance at Fairfield beer fest

FAIRFIELD — A man police said was causing a ruckus outside the Craft 260 Beer Fest Sunday evening is facing charges.
Lawrence J. Kendricks, 27, of Capital Avenue, Bridgeport, was charged with breach of peace and interfering with an officer in connection with the incident.
According to the report, Kendricks was leaving the bar with a group of about seven other people when he became “aggressive” toward another member of the group. An officer on hand escorted Kendricks away from the bar, but he then went into a Japanese restaurant next door and again was causing a disturbance.
Police again escorted Kendricks into the parking lot, where he was acting in a “loud and tumultuous” manner, and bumped into the officer. According to the report, Kendricks appeared extremely intoxicated.
He was released on a promise to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport on May 15.
