An argument with a relative early Saturday led to the arrest of Christopher Davies, 23, of Crane Street, police said.

Davies was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct after police said he took the phone out of a family member's hand and threw it. When she went to retrieve the phone to try to dial 911, police said he threw her against the wall, and then left the house.

Police located Davies in Stratford and asked that he return to Crane Street, where he was taken into custody. The victim had bruises on her arms and a scratch on her cheek, according to the report.

Davies was held on a $5,000 bond and was scheduled to have appeared Monday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
