Kennebrew, of Victory Avenue in Bridgeport, was charged Monday on a warrant with third-degree larceny.
Police began investigating the theft of power tools from the Fairfield store in October, reviewing security video of the thefts. In four different incidents, more than $5,000 worth of merchandise was taken, police said.
Kennebrew was identified as one of the suspects from information obtained after two women were arrested in connection with a robbery at another Home Depot store in the area, according to the report.
Stolen items were located by investigators at area pawn shops and $5,000 worth of merchandise seized from a storage unit in Bridgeport. In the storage unit, police said they found chain saws, routers, drill kits and power washers.
