A 22-year-old Mill Hill Lane resident was charged with drug possession Saturday night.
Jack S. McMahon was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics and one count of possession of a controlled substance after an officer on patrol spotted him sitting in his car behind a closed business on the Old Post Road around 10 p.m. Saturday, according to the report.
McMahon told the officer he was having car trouble, but the officer detected an odor of marijuana coming from the car, police said, and saw an electric scale on the driver’s side floorboard. Packaging material was found in the door pocket, according to the report.
After a search, police found .7 grams of cocaine and eight glassine bags of heroin, along with 24 amphetamine and Adderall pills, in the vehicle, according to the report.
McMahon was released after posting a $50 cash bond and is scheduled to appear Jan. 21 at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
