Police believe they've reeled in the man responsible for stealing fishing gear from boats at the South Benson Marina.
Jakob Audino, 24, of Riverside Drive, was charged on a warrant Thursday with three counts of third-degree burglary and one count of fifth-degree larceny.
Audino stole rods and reels worth a total of $970 from three different boats at the town marina at the end of August and beginning of September, according to the report. The stolen fishing gear was found at East Coast Pawn on Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport. The report states that Audino admitted to the thefts.
He was released on a promise to appear Nov. 14 at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
