A 34-year-old Bridgeport man accused of stealing four cases of beer from Super Stop & Shop on Villa Avenue last March was arrested on a warrant last Friday charging him with sixth-degree larceny.
Roberto Cosme, of Iranistan Avenue in Bridgeport, was incarcerated in a Connecticut prison on an unrelated charge at the time of his arrest. He was arrested in Bridgeport Superior Court on the Fairfield charges last Friday, police said. He was held in lieu of $1,000 bond and appeared in court Friday, police said.
Cosme stole three cases of Corona beer and a case of Heineken beer, with a total value of $102, and got into the passenger side of a getaway car, according to the report.
Police notified area police departments and provided a description of the subject and Cosme was later identified by Bridgeport police officers, local police said.
